 Associate Degree in General Engineering Technology (Fall 2009-Present)

 Upon completion I will have basic understanding of engineering fields and problem solving techniques. Transfer to a Four-Year institution for a bachelors degree in a specialized field will be possible after completion as well.

 

Computer Aided Drafting and Design Diploma  (Fall 2009- Present)

 Currently enrolled in the drafting and design program. Upon completion I will have learned the skills required to make accurate drawings both with and without the application of computers and received a diploma for the course.

 

 Precision Machining Technology (Fall 2007-Spring 2009) Diploma

 Obtained my diploma during the two year program instructed by Doug Poole and Troy Simpson. Throughout the course I became familiar with manual lathe and mill operations as well as CNC operation and programming.

 

 Pittsylvania County Career and Technical Institute (Fall 2005-Spring 2007)

 Attended the welding program at PCCTI under the supervision of Herb Hardy. During my time there I learned proper welding techniques for arc, mig, and tig welding applications.

  

Chatham High School (Fall 2003-Spring 2007)-Learned basic studies required by the Virginia Department of Education and graduated in good standing with the school.

 Mobile Container Service (September 2008-Present)

 Job Title- Welder/ Fabricator

 Job duties include fabrication of waste containers of different varieties using proper welding techniques.

 

 Food Lion Inc. (August 2005-January 2009)

 Job Title- Front End Sales Assistant

 Duties included management of cashiers and baggers, balancing cash registers and ensuring the proper funds were acquired while providing a great customer service.

 

 Talbott Construction (Summer 2006-Spring 2008)

 Job Title- Framer

 Duties included assisting my co-workers during new construction of residential homes.

 

 

 Unarco Industries Inc. (November 2007-January 2008)

 Job Title- Welder

 Briefly worked at Unarco Industries through Debbies Temp. Service in the production and assembly of shopping carts.

 Mount Hermon Volunteer Fire and Rescue (July 2007-Present)

 I am very active with MHVFD. My current certifications include FireFighter One, FireFighter Two, Hazardous Materials Operation and Awareness, Emergency Vehicle Operation, Basic CPR, Basic Fire Apparatus Pump Operations

 

 Civil Air Patrol (Spring 2002-Spring 2004)

 I acquired the rank of flight sergeant in CAP, my responsibilities required me to provide leadership to other cadets. CAP taught me valuable lessons in leadership and discipline for use in all aspects of life.

 

 Goals

  

           My goals in life are to live responsibly and raise a family. I strive hard each and everyday to do what I should and tackle problems effectively. I am always eager to learn and a hard working individual. I view myself as a company man taking pride in my work and responsibilities.
